In awarding grants, Targum Shlishi is interested in innovative and promising initiatives that have the potential to improve the quality of Jewish life. The foundation’s giving is concentrated in (but not limited to) four core areas: Education, Women’s Issues, Israel, and Holocaust Awareness/Education.
In this section of the website, we provide summaries of grants awarded in these primary areas, organized by year (we have consolidated the foundation’s first decade of giving [1992–2002] into one section). In addition, we have included an Initiatives section, which provides an overview of several of the foundation’s self-generated projects. The Special Projects section includes summaries of significant grants that do not fall into our four core areas. And our Additional Recipients section provides a listing of organizations that the foundation has supported with more modest support than a formal grant.
Each grant summary includes a link to the grantee’s website, when available. In addition, our Blog is devoted to showcasing the work of many of our grantees and provides a more in-depth look into selected grants, ongoing work, and final projects.
